Stella Wells Auction
Members of The Works Board plan and decorate the tree each year. Members try and come up with a new and fun theme. Residents working in different vocational enclaves make all the ornaments. Last years auction was held Friday, December 7th at the Parsons Elks Lodge. |

Each year volunteers
work together to provide food and gifts for needy individuals in our community.
The program is named after Stella Wells. who first started delivering food to
families at Christmas. Approximately 15 years ago the Stella Wells Christmas
Auction was started to raise funds for the project. Since that first auction,
Parsons State Hospital and Training Center has decorated and donated a tree to
the auction. They have raised around $12,000 for the gift basket program.
