Operation Santa is a service program that provides Christmas gifts for all the residents at Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.  The program began in 1965 and is managed by KKOW Radio Station in Pittsburg, Kansas.

The drives receives financial support from KKOW listeners in the four state area.  With great care and concern, individual resident requests for gifts are filled.   The Operation Santa drive officially begins each year the day after Thanksgiving, although you see Dan Willis and the wonderful employees of KKOW Radion Station raising funds and keeping their eyes open for unique gifts throughout the year.

One week before Christmas the gifts are delivered to the campus with the assistance of Southeast High School students. For more information concerning the program contact Marlys at 620-421-6550, extension 1726 or Marlys.Shomber-Jones@pshtc.ks.gov.
