"We Can Make It Happen"After a hard day at work, the world is a fun and exciting place, full of choices to numerous to count! Our residents are encouraged to try new, stimulating experiences, but also when it comes to their all-time fun favorites, we can make it happen. A happy mix of the tried and true, sprinkled with the new, makes a recipe of
fun for everyone! Whether it be your pleasure to pop some popcorn and snuggle up to watch your favorite western movie on DVD, or to join in an archery club and feel the pure excitement of letting an arrow fly to it’s target, leisure time is free to spend by any means sparked by one’s imagination. Whether it’s getting together with friends to shoot pool uptown, putting those coins up to "challenge the winner" and know the thrill of competition, or just to feel the peaceful breeze in your hair on a summer evening while those pesky fish tug on your bait while you try to doze off into a cat nap.......oh well, catching that catfish is fun too! Who knows better than ourselves how we want to let our inner child express himself? Well, no one else knows better than we, how we want to have fun. An individual’s personal choices are the guiding factor by which activities are planned, and by asking, listening, and watching, we are learning. Boundaries are being torn down, and as new worlds open up, new paths are being explored. Dreams of having that "all the colors in the rainbow" hamster condo, and then running out to the pet store to pick out the perfect furry little critters to live in it, holds all the joy and excitement of hearing the ching, ching, ching after having a lucky pull on the arm of a slot machine at the casino, which some of our adults do visit on occasion. Not only do they visit, but they look forward to with great anticipation. There are goals to worked for, budgets to fund, plans to carry through, and for all of us at the end of the day, the freedom to have some fun! |
