Mobility Aids: those with physical or visual disabilities may require assistance with mobility. Examples: self-propelled walkers, manual or powered wheelchairs, powered recreational vehicles like bikes and scooters. Those with vision loss: white canes, electronic image sensors (information through vibration), telescopic aids for reading signs or spotting landmarks

Examples of A.T. to help a person move around:

  • walkers
  • battery-operated car
  • vans with lifts
  • scooters
  • powered or manual wheelchairs
  • white canes
