Supportive EmploymentWhile residing at PSH&TC, residents have many opportunities to explore a variety of paid supportive employment opportunities. It is hoped these experiences will help each individual discover what types of work and /or work environments he likes best. The pay each person receives provides a framework for money handling, budget training, if desired, and making personal purchases. PSH&TC partners with the Division of Rehabilitative Services for the purpose of acquiring community job placements for our residents . This partnership also helps when the resident moves back into the community as the paperwork for continued Rehabilitative services is complete and the search for community employment can begin quickly. A wide range of mini businesses and personalized work experiences have been developed and are located both on the center’s grounds and in the local and surrounding communities. |
